Accreditation

Both the Department's animal care and use programme and relevant courses are ccredited. External quality assurance is considered one of the most important criteria for measuring the quality of an organization.

It is crucial that the Department's services are of high quality so that we can guarantee standardized services and efficient programme. At the same time it helps focus on how we can improve the department and develop experimental care and use programme and education so that they meet the needs of our "customers" as well as the highest international standards with high quality.

AAALAC

Association for Assessment and Accreditation of Laboratory Animal Care has accredited Department's animal care and use programme.

The Department is subject to and follows a comprehensive quality assurance system to ensure that work procedures and processes of the research facilities performed according to internal rules, regulations and legislation. It applies to all employees at the department as well as researchers and clients working within the department and benefit from the department's services. The quality system complies with the guidelines of the relevant parts of AAALAC.

FELASA

Federation of Laboratory Animal Science Association is the organisation responsible for the accreditation of selected courses in the department.
