Renovation of buildings 10-4 and 10-5 at Panum
We have received the following information regarding establishing the construction site for the renovation of buildings10-4 and 10-5. The plan to renovate AEM’s Breeding unit 10-4 is well on its way and we will be informing about the details of this project at a later stage.

Dear users at Panum building 4, 6, 10, 12 and 16
On 23 September 2024, the renovation of floors 4 and 5 in building 10 will begin, respectively. AEM and reNEW/BMI.
Establishment of construction site
The renovation starts with the establishment of a common building site on Tagensvej next to buildings 10-12. Establishing the construction site includes, among other things, setting up scaffolding, construction site lift, emergency stairs and construction site fence.
The scaffolding is secured at a height of up to 3 metres, so that it is not possible to gain access to the swallow passages from the scaffolding.
The construction site is expected to be ready for use from 18 October 2024, and will then be in operation until the renovation of AEM is scheduled to be completed in March 2026.
Dismantling of concrete elements on the corridors
In connection with the establishment of the building site, two parapet elements on the facade must be dismantled. This work may cause some noise and vibrations from the mobile crane and artisanal work.
In order to disturb the activities at Panum as little as possible, the heavy work is primarily done at the weekend. However, noisy work may occasionally occur on weekdays.
Interior construction works, building 10 5th floor
Craftsman work on floor 5 is scheduled to start on 21 October 2024, with the demolition of existing walls, ceilings, floors and installations. After the establishment of new building parts and installations, the construction process is expected to be completed in June 2025, after which reNEW and BMI will take the premises into use.
Interior construction works, building 10 4th floor
The renovation of the 4th floor is expected to start in March 2025 with the demolition of existing walls, ceilings and floors. More information will be sent out before the work starts.
