Accreditation requirements
The Copenhagen Animal Care and Use Programme is accredited by the Association for Assessment and Accreditation of Laboratory Animal Care International (AAALAC) since 2009. Consequently, the Programme is in compliance with the American NRC ILAR Guide for the Care and Use of Laboratory Animals. The department's assurance has, furthermore, been reviewed and approved by the Office of Laboratory Animal Welfare (OLAW) under NIH. Foreign Assurance identification number: F16-00203 (A5846-01). Validity period: September 27, 2022 - September 30, 2027.
