How do I use Transnetyx's service at AEM?

AEM has partnered with Transnetyx to offer a cutting-edge genotyping service that promises precision and speed for researchers. If you are interested in taking advantage of this service please follow the instructions below.

For current Transnetyx users

1. Express interest: Report to AEM that you are interested in this service and specify the unit where your animals are located.
2. Account access: Grant access to your Transnetyx account to the relevant AEM unit(s).
2a. Alternatively, on your request the animal technician places samples in well plate, and shares plate map (A4page with details on sample location and strain) with the researcher, who then places the order. The order can be places within 72 hours (Tansnetyx’s shipping time).
3. Sample collection and shipping: The AEM unit collects the samples and ships them to Transnetyx twice a week, on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
4. Receiving Results: Once processed, researchers can access their genotyping results through the Transnetyx system.

New Transnetyx users

5. Account creation and assay orders: Researchers start by creating an account on the Transnetyx platform and ordering the necessary assays for their genotyping needs. Please follow this link.
6. Follow steps 2 trough 4.

Collecting the samples yourself

  • If you decide to collect your own samples, please provide the relevant information through Transnetyx's system.
  • Samples should be delivered to the Transnetyx fridge at Panum, located in corridor 10-01-02A.
  • Please note that you must have access to the area. Access can be granted by applying through Access form under the section "I want access to...": "PANUM 01 PANUM - PUNKT 1 (Transnetyx)".

Researchers still have the option to receive their samples for further processing in their own laboratories.
